I looked through a few of the websites you created and WOW I love them! They are clean, crisp, easy to navigate, professional, and classy looking. To be honest, most websites don’t impress me. But yours sure do!!
In the future I will be employing you to create a website for me. 🙂
Here’s my story…..Once upon a time I had a website and paid hundreds of dollars for someone to keep it going. I own the domain tameraweeks.com. The guy disappeared after many months.
I use 1and1.com for my services and included in this are website templates. I’m going to build a landing page for now and later when I know what to do with a website, I’ll be in touch with you to execute this. How does this sound?
I am looking forward to your new website for your business!

Wow, thank you for this topic and your kind words, Tam! 😀
I cooperate with some great graphic designers so not all of the ideas and visuals seen in my portfolio are 100% mine. I’m primary a developer although I like design as well so I’m usually the guy who puts stuff together and makes it work after being provided with the idea and some basic graphics and guidelines. And of course, I add some of my own ideas and twists to the projects to make them feel and look better. 🙂
Of course, that is not 100% of my portfolio because I’m working on some websites at the moment and some are offline because many years went by since they were put online for the first time. Not to mention all the maintenance work I do to #improve my client’s websites after some other developer made some horrible mistakes, haha.
After 6 years of doing this full-time I realized that I enjoy maintenance work the most. My new website won’t be focused as much on development as on hosting, web security and keeping websites up to date and safe. I have my own private server based in German datacenter to be able to provide the best service possible for my clients. I mostly work with WordPress websites but I made a lot of work on other systems same as the “stand alone (not built on any system)” made from scratch websites. 🙂 So my new website will be also part of my own view on web development being re-branded. 🙂
All in all Tam (or anyone else), if you will need my help, you can count on 100% service given; design, development, hosting and maintenance. 🙂
P.S. Since we are talking about my business, let me mention that I’ll soon start to work for a great Croatian web development company full-time so that I could #improve my knowledge and evolve as web developer. I will run my own business in the free time. It will be tough but since both paths are aligned with my long term vision I’m feeling very happy about it. 🙂

You’re welcome, Mihovil. And thank you for a deeper explanation of what you do. It’s good to hear you are working at a company that will further your skills and help you reach your long term goals.
Help me understand hosting. Is this like 1and1.com? Are they the host I use for my email and website domains?
I’m thinking maybe a year out for doing more on my website than just a landing page. I have other things on my list I want to get in place first.
Jen Price at #wordsmakeitreal #fantasycopyright is going to help me line up my wording all over my social media so that it all matches and it accurately portrays what I’m doing.
I’m working on a Patreon page and by June I want to start getting ready for a monthly newsletter, etc…
2017 is my year to pull things together. 2018 will be the time to establish things on my website. 🙂

Yes, 1and1 is a hosting company. You need hosting to:
1. Connect your domain to it
2. Store your website files/databases on it
3. Use your domain related emails such as [email protected]
As I can see, both your domain/hosting are at 1and1, yes. 🙂 You can have domain registered at one company (registrar) and website hosted at the other. You can also switch from registrars and hosting companies as much as you like, you are not obligated to stay anywhere. 🙂
Think about your stuff, sort it out and let me know. 🙂 I’m over the top busy at the moment anyway so I will be finishing current projects and not taking new onces until March. But if you will need a landing page (which is not a big project) before that date, don’t hesitate to contact me! 🙂

Thank you for explaining that to me. When I worked with my first web guy, I forwarded my domain to him. As it turns out, he was using something like GoDaddy. Lol
My plan for the landing page is to call 1and1 and explain what I want and have them walk me through building a landing page using their templates. I’ve tried on my own and i just don’t get it. I got a phone number in December. This is going way out of my box. But it will fun to say I did it. Lol I will be learning something completely new. 🙂
It’s great hearing you are so busy doing what you love! And thank you again for explaining to me.

Yes, 1and1’s templates could be a great solution for a temporary website/landing page. Hosting as well. Especially if they can guide you through the process or do it for you. 🙂
Once you get to the point where you will want to build a website with all the goodies like contact form, newsletter subscription form, responsive design, admin zone where you can edit your website’s content etc. … I’m here to help! 🙂

Thanks. You will be the Web guy to help me build all the goodies and “start over”.
And thank you for offering to help with the landing page even though you are so busy. You are very kind. 1and1 has a lot of services that I pay for and don’t utilize. I’m about to see how their customer service for these websites templates works. 🙂

Tam, I feel you on that story. I think most/all entrepreneurs have a story of working with unreliable / untrustworthy / flaky / uncommunicative people… it’s kind of a badge of honor lol 🙂
